A first glimpse of the new Jeep SUV in the Super Bowl commercial
The Jeep Recon in its final version shows itself for a few seconds in video, it will arrive in 2025 and will be electric only
The Jeep Recon was first unveiled in 2022, then as a concept, with a date in the not too distant future to see it in production, and then sporadically peeped on the web without giving any specific information. An off-roader with angular shapes, ready for adventure - the doors are removable, like on the Wrangler - powered only by electric motors. A sacrilege for enthusiasts, a challenge for the American manufacturer.
Fast forward: Super Bowl 2025. The usual roundup of million-dollar commercials is aired. Cars included, with Jeep playing its part without missing the opportunity for (not so) subtle irony by hiring Harrison Ford as a testimonial. That's right, last name Ford, like the Blue Oval, which competes with the Wrangler with its Bronco. But the star is someone else: the Jeep Recon in its final version. We only see it for a few seconds, but it reveals a lot of interesting details.
Ready for anything
No doors and an illuminated grille. These are the Jeep Recon's main features, fully kept intact from the concept three years ago. The lines are vertical, as befits a real off-roader, while the classic seven slots in the front grille are almost square, a change in Jeep design that could return on other models, including the new Compass, another new Jeep model expected in 2025.
There is also a glimpse of the rear, with the presence of the spare wheel perched on the tailgate, another typical off-road element taken from the Wrangler.

The big news will be the powertrain, as the Jeep Recon will indeed be an all-electric vehicle, at least initially. According to statements made some time ago by the company's top management, the American off-roader, like its 'sister' Wagoneer S, could also be equipped with hybrid engines. The platform will be the STLA Large, the same as the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio.
It is expected to be unveiled in the US in mid-2025 and arrive in Europe by the end of the year.
