Ford is set to release the 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC, featuring a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Positioned between the 500-hp Dark Horse and the 815-hp Mustang GTD, the Dark Horse SC will have its official power output and pricing announced before deliveries start this summer.
The vehicle comes equipped with MagneRide dampers, revised springs, new stabilizer bars, and a lightweight magnesium strut tower brace, along with standard six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo brake calipers and Pirelli P Zero R tires on 20-inch aluminum wheels.
The Dark Horse SC boasts enhanced airflow and brake cooling with a new front fascia featuring a larger center opening and side inlets. The aluminum hood generates significantly more downforce than the standard model, and a new diffuser is added at the rear.
An available Track Pack Upgrade offers a Track Pack-specific calibration for the MagneRide dampers, 20-inch carbon-fiber wheels, custom Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, and carbon-ceramic brakes from the GTD. The Track Pack also includes a ducktail-style decklid and a carbon-fiber rear wing, generating 620 pounds of rear downforce at 180 mph, along with a variable traction control system with five levels of assistance.
Inside, the Dark Horse SC features a GTD-inspired interior with a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, Alcantara, and carbon-fiber accents. The Track Pack includes Recaro leather and Dinamica sport seats, which are optional in the standard SC. Ford offers additional customization options, such as a Teal Accent Package and a Carbon Exterior Package.
A limited-run Track Pack Special Edition will combine the Track and Carbon packages, featuring a black-painted roof, Race Red Brembo brake calipers, and exclusive Shadow Black or Oxford White color options, with unique Solar Red accents on the Recaro seats.
Orders can be placed this spring, with deliveries beginning in the summer.
