A North Carolina car saleswoman says she’s on track to hit her best month yet.

TikTok creator @sleepycargirl, who works as a car sales consultant, told followers she’s usually good for about 16 to 20 cars a month—but this time, she’s aiming higher—her goal is 22.

“I’m only taking a week off, which for me is pretty good,” she said in her video, adding a question for others in the business: “All of my car salespeople, what are you guys hoping for this month?”

As of Sunday, her “car sales check-in” clip had racked up more than 4,900 views, with other sales professionals chiming in to share their own goals.

How Does This Compare To Most Salespeople’s Averages?

Selling 22 cars in a month isn’t just solid—it’s impressive. According to MotorTrend, most salespeople move between 10 and 12 cars per month, and many on Reddit have admitted to struggling to hit double digits consistently. That means @sleepycargirly’s typical range of 16 to 20 already puts her well above the curve.

A few factors can shape those numbers. Salesmen on Quora note that the type of dealership matters—a high-volume lot can boost totals into the twenties, while smaller or specialty dealerships usually move fewer cars. “I sold 16 my first month, 19 last month, 22 is my goal for October! You can do it!” added a third woman.

Others admitted they hadn’t yet broken into double digits but were staying optimistic.

“Two months: 10 cars,” one commenter shared.

“I’m at 100% VSC,” another wrote. “Only two deals, but you know!”

“I did nine in September and was 4th out of nine salespeople, and only one of us hit bonus,” said a third.

“September was horrible, I ended at 11,” another added. “October goal is 16.”
