Mercedes-Benz and AMG have released images and details concerning the C63 S Edition 1.
Like all Edition 1s, the one designed for the new C63 S will be available during the first year of production and will come with an array of cosmetic tweaks both inside and out. It rides on 19-inch AMG exclusive forged wheels with a cross-spoke matte black design with red rims. It also gets an AMG spoiler lip in high gloss black, red accents on the mirrors and radiator grille, along with graphite gray matte side stripes.
The list of exterior changes goes on with an AMG Night Package featuring several glossy black elements, dark tinted glass and chromed tailpipe trims. As standard the Mercedes-AMG C63 S Edition is painted in polar white but clients can also choose other hues such as palladium silver, obsidian black and bright diamond white, among others.
On the inside there are AMG Performance seats, black Nappa leather upholstery featuring a diamond pattern and red contrasting stitching. There's also a flat-bottomed AMG Performance steering wheel covered in DINAMICA microfiber while the floor mats have "AMG" lettering and red piping. Lastly, the cabin also gets AMG trim elements in carbon fiber and designo red seatbelts.
There aren't any changes under the hood so the C63 S Sedan & Estate Edition 1s pack a twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter engine developing 510 HP (375 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) delivered to the wheels through an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT seven-speed sports transmission. This hardware setup grants the sedan with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 4 seconds whereas the estate needs 0.1s more. Both of them are electronically limited at 155 mph (250 km/h).
