Nissan 350Z NISMO Type 380RS
Nissan and NISMO (Nissan Motorsports, the racing and tuning branch of Nissan) co-developed the 350Z NISMO, but the NISMO engineers in Japan refused to rest on their laurels. They took over where Nissan left off and bored out the VQ35HR to make it a 3.8l engine, adding an additional 44hp to reach an appropriate total of 350 horsepower for the 350Z (or Fairlady Z in Japan).
The Nissan 350Z NISMO Type 380RS is road legal of course and only 300 will be made available, sales started a good week ago on June 21st and it will set you back almost 5,5 million yen. The engine has been throughly tested by NISMO during the Tokachi 24hrs races in 2006 and other long distance races during 2007.
Engine specifications include:
- Output: 257kW / 350 hp at 7200 rpm
- Torque: 397Nm at 4800 rpm
- Displacement: 3,798 cc
- Cylinders: DOHC V type 6 cylinder
