BMW is set to showcase its M Hybrid V8 with a special livery at the upcoming IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race at Road America. This collaboration with the new Spider-Man movie features a striking blue, red, and white design that mirrors the superhero’s iconic colors. The No. 24 car will prominently display a large white spider motif on the front and Spider-Man on the engine cover fin. The race, part of the Michelin Endurance Cup, will last six hours, with coverage beginning at 11:30 AM ET on Sunday. The new Spider-Man movie is scheduled to release in theaters on July 31, 2026.
This partnership extends beyond the race, as BMW’s involvement with the Spider-Man movie includes appearances of the 5 Series and Neue Klasse iX3 in the film. Additionally, BMW has developed the one-off iX3 Flow in collaboration with Sony and Marvel, featuring full-color E Ink Prism elements and an animated exterior. This unique vehicle will be on display at the BMW Welt in Germany until September, offering fans a glimpse into the innovative blend of technology and entertainment.
BMW is also engaging its customers in this partnership through a special feature available to those with properly equipped vehicles in participating markets. From July 27 through August 10, owners will experience a unique Spider-Man animation and light show when starting their cars. This interactive element adds a touch of excitement for BMW enthusiasts, further enhancing the collaboration with the Spider-Man movie.
