Ram is set to revive the ProMaster City van for the United States market in 2027, with sales beginning a year later. The new van is built on Stellantis’ K0 global midsize commercial van platform, similar to models like the Citroën Dispatch and Opel Vivaro. A notable design change is the introduction of the Ram wordmark on all future products. The ProMaster City is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, producing 166 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. It features a front MacPherson strut and rear independent trailing-arm suspension.

The 2027 ProMaster City is designed to fit urban environments, measuring just under 77 inches tall, with a 129.0-inch wheelbase and a turning radius of over 42 feet. It offers more than 167.1 cubic feet of cargo space, accommodating two standard US pallets and four-by-eight plywood sheets. Access to the cargo area is provided through 180-degree rear swing doors or a liftgate, along with a standard 36-inch wide by 48-inch tall passenger-side sliding door. The van can carry a payload of over 2,000 pounds and has a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds.

Ram will offer the ProMaster City in Cargo Van and Passenger Wagon layouts, with two trims: Tradesman and SLT. The Tradesman includes features like forward collision warning, auto headlights, and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster. The SLT trim adds body-color bumpers, dual-tone wheels, and a wireless phone charger. The van will be available in 11 configurations with six exterior colors and will be manufactured in Turkey. Ram aims to launch the 2027 ProMaster City in the first quarter of 2027 with a starting price under $40,000.
