M as in maximum: BMW M2 with 728 PS and carbon body kit from Manhart
Almost 250 PS more and XL wings for the Bavarian performance coupé
If you belong to the presumably rather small group of people who think that the current BMW M2 is not potent and edgy enough, then we would like to confront you with the latest work by tuner Manhart called the MH2 700 II.
However, the 700 in the name is not quite right, because according to their own information, the smallest real M is equipped with 728 PS. That's 248 PS more than the standard facelift of the M2 with 480 PS. Compared to the pre-facelift, the output even increases by 268 PS. The maximum torque is even wilder. Manhhart promises a rear tyre-frying 900 Nm. 350 more than ex works.
We don't know how the S58 three-litre biturbo six-cylinder engine, also found in the M3/M4, can cope with such an orgy of power, but we can tell you how the Wuppertal tuner modifies it to get there. The package includes a carbon intake plus an additional control unit or remapping of the engine electronics. There is also the in-house stainless steel flap exhaust system. For road approval, this is available in combination with a sports downpipe including a 200-cell HJS catalytic converter and four 110-millimetre tailpipes.

If you live in a country where the TÜV has nothing to say, the system is also available in combination with race downpipes without catalytic converters, an OPF delete replacement pipe with 200-cell HJS catalytic converter and OPF/GPF delete.
And there's obviously more. No idea why 728 PS and 900 Nm in a BMW M2 could be interpreted as somewhat weak-chested, but if you feel that way, Manhart will counter with even more extensive Stage 2 and Stage 3 upgrades on request.
The brake system on the vehicle shown here is unchanged apart from the champagne-coloured paintwork on the callipers. However, in view of the performance explosion, you should probably opt for one of the customised upgrades offered by the tuner. The same applies to the suspension. Here, the customer has the choice between KW coilover springs or a Variant 4 coilover suspension from the same company.
The wheels on the show car are from Yido and measure 10.5x20 inches at the front and 11.5x21 inches at the rear. They are fitted with 285/30 and 305/25 tyres. Instead of the matt black finish chosen here, other individual colours can be configured on request.
The look of the Manhart M2 is also a big dog. The company has definitely not skimped on eye-catching measures for the bodywork, installing a whole armada of in-house carbon add-on parts, such as the carbon inserts for the front apron or the carbon side skirts. The rest is done by a body kit from Alpha-N consisting of bonnet, kidneys, front spoiler, diffuser, rear wing and underbody panelling (all made of carbon fibre). In addition, the body is given a champagne-coloured MANHART decor kit.
In the interior, which has also been revised, the first thing that catches the eye is the extremely gold-coloured roll bar. In return, the rear seat is also removed. There are also Schroth trouser support belts with belt tensioners and a set of new floor mats.
