Stellantis: Revenues and sales down, but promises news for 2025
Stellantis Group posts 27% drop in revenue for Q3 2024. Worldwide deliveries down 20%
In the third quarter of 2024, Stellantis posted a -27% drop in net revenue, down from €45.1 billion in 2023 to €33 billion this year. Since the beginning of the year, the contraction is instead 18%.
The cause of this slowdown is mainly to be found in the decrease in the number of cars delivered by Stellantis to its customers, which fell in Q3 2024 to 1.14 million units compared to 1.42 million in Q3 2023 (-20%).
A difficult transition
Among the causes cited by Stellantis to justify the drop in deliveries are in particular the 'cessation of production of several models to start the transition of the product portfolio globally', but also the 'planned inventory reduction in North America' and the 'impacts resulting from a difficult European market environment'.

As a reminder, Stellantis also decided to reorganise its management team and confirmed the retirement of CEO Carlos Tavares.
North America and Europe suffering
Looking in detail at the delivery results by geographic area, however, we note that Stellantis suffered particularly badly in North America (-36%). Europe also did not fare well for Stellantis, down 17%, as did the Middle East and Africa as well as China, India and Asia Pacific, the latter region where the group now has an almost symbolic presence.
Suffice it to say that in the region that includes China, the Stellantis group delivered just 14,000 cars in the third quarter of 2024, or 0.2 per cent of a market like China that saw sales exceed 6.6 million cars in the same three months.
| Region | Deliveries Q3 2024 | Deliveries Q3 2023 | Percentage Change |
| North America | 299,.000 | 470,000 | -36% |
| Europe | 496,000 | 599,000 | -17% |
| Middle East and Africa | 78,000 | 105,000 | -26% |
| South America | 259,000 | 227,000 | +14% |
| China, India and Asia Pacific | 14,000 | 20,000 | -30% |
-60% for Maserati
On the other hand, it was a real thud (-60%) for Maserati, which recorded just 2,100 deliveries worldwide in Q3 2024 compared to 5,300 units in Q3 2023.
Maserati Grecale
The reasons given by Stellantis are the low sales volumes of the Grecale, the reduced demand for Western luxury cars in China and the exit of three models such as the Ghibli, Levante and Quattroporte.
New Stellantis models just arrived and on the way
To revive itself, however, Stellantis is relying on new high-volume models such as the Citroën C3, which has already received 50,000 orders, the C3 Aircross and the new Peugeot 3008, which has picked up 75,000 orders.

Leapmotor T03
Peugeot 3008
Added to these are the arrival of the Leapmotor T03 and C10 (also a range extender from 2025) and the new B10, not forgetting the Fiat Grande Panda, the revamped Citroën C4 and C4 X, Ami, the Peugeot e-408 and, from America, the electric Dodge Charger Daytona, the all-electric Jeep Wagoneer S and the new electric Ram 1500 REV and Ram 1500 Ramcharger range extender.
