California-based VRS Electric Cars has announced plans to introduce its new Agito concept at the Beijing Motor Show on April 26th.

Named after the Latin word for "I move," the Agito is being billed as an advanced supercar that promises to "revolutionize automotive aerodynamics."  The company was vague on details but confirmed the concept is a near production vehicle with an electric powertrain.

That's not much to go on but the teaser image suggests the car will have a rounded front fascia with LED headlights.  The model also appears to have a relatively low roof, a compact cabin, and a distinctive rear end.

The car was created by a "team of skilled young-internet famous designers" who reached out to VRS founder and CEO Robert L. Laird.  No names were mentioned but the company says Laird likes to "promote and showcase young talent."

The Agito is slated to go into production in mid-2017 and details will likely be announced next month.

While little is known about the company or its first car, VRS says it is funded by Chinese backers.  This makes it somewhat similar to Faraday Future which plans to open a $1 billion production facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
