Our spy photographers have already snapped pictures of the highly-anticipated McLaren F1 successor, but a new report is indicating it will be unveiled at a private event during the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Sporting a "spectacular" design, the car is sure to garner attention ahead of its public debut at the Paris Motor Show.

One source also indicated the model will feature an 800 hp (597 kW / 811 PS) 3.8-liter V8 engine and a kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) that can deliver an additional 200 hp (149 kW / 203 PS). This would give the car a combined output of 1,000 hp (746 kW / 1014 PS) which may enable it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 2.5 seconds.
