Genesis has unveiled the Magma GT3 Concept, a new design that hints at the brand’s potential future in racing. Developed in collaboration with Hyundai Motorsport, this concept is not based on any existing road model but is crafted with a “performance-first design” to adhere to GT3 technical specifications. The GT3 Concept resembles a racing GT with its widened track, prominent front splitter, and enlarged ducts, setting it apart from typical road vehicles.
The concept incorporates advanced aerodynamic features, including a door-mounted fin, a fixed rear wing, and a rear diffuser, which enhance its aerodynamics, cooling, and thermal management. Additionally, it showcases Genesis’s corporate two-line LED lighting signature, complemented by four extra headlights, adding to its distinctive racing appearance. These elements highlight the brand’s focus on integrating race-driven architecture and engineering into its future performance vehicles.
Genesis describes the Magma GT3 Concept as an “independent study” aimed at exploring how race-driven principles could influence future Genesis models. While the company emphasizes that the GT3 Concept “remains under exploration,” it signifies Genesis’s interest in expanding its presence in the racing world and potentially developing high-performance vehicles inspired by this innovative design.
