Kia has unveiled the all-new 2027 Seltos for the United States, which was previously revealed for international markets in September. The compact crossover will be available with three powertrain options. The base model features a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 147 horsepower, paired with a continuously variable transmission and standard front-wheel drive, though all-wheel drive is optional. The X-Line trim offers a 190-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter engine with standard all-wheel drive, while a hybrid powertrain combining a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with a six-speed automatic transmission is also available, featuring front-wheel drive with an optional electric all-wheel drive system for enhanced power.
The 2027 Seltos boasts a revamped design inspired by the Telluride, with a larger size and 2.4 inches of additional wheelbase compared to the previous model. Standard features include 16-inch wheels, while the 2.0-liter Seltos X-Line offers 18-inch options, and the 1.6-liter X-Line and Hybrid e-AWD models come with black 19-inch wheels. The Seltos X-Line also includes unique bumpers and black side sills with dark gunmetal accents. Inside, the design draws from the EV9 and Telluride, featuring a stalk-mounted shifter, a squared-off steering wheel, and push-button start. The increased wheelbase provides 1.0 inch more rear legroom and improvements in headroom, hip room, and shoulder room. The interior is equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment display, a 5.0-inch climate control panel, and an optional 12.3-inch driver display, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard features. Cargo space offers up to 64.1 cubic feet behind the first row and 27.8 cubic feet behind the second row.
The new Seltos will debut at the New York Auto Show and is set to go on sale in the United States within the next three months, with the hybrid variant arriving later this year. Kia plans to release pricing, specific trim details, and fuel economy estimates closer to the on-sale date. The 2026 Kia Seltos starts at $25,285, including a $1,495 destination charge, and a slight price increase is anticipated for the 2027 model.
