Audi announces the A2 e-tron, a new fully electric compact car that marks the entry point to the German brand’s BEV lineup. Produced at the Ingolstadt plant, the vehicle represents an important step toward an all-electric future, with the goal of making electric mobility more accessible, including for urban customers. The first sketch shows modern lines that echo the iconic 1990s Audi A2, combining compact dimensions, efficiency, and safety.
The project targets an international customer base focused on practicality and sustainability, offering a digital and versatile compact car for the city. Production in Ingolstadt confirms the Brand’s industrial commitment in Germany, ensuring job continuity and “made in Germany” quality. The A2 e-tron rounds out Audi’s BEV strategy, which in recent years has launched more than 20 new electric models, from SUVs to sedans, and will continue to strengthen its lineup with innovative solutions and premium performance.
