The new Nissan Armada has significantly improved over its predecessor, setting a strong foundation for an exceptional off-road vehicle. Nissan showcases this potential with the Dune Patrol concept, equipped with various off-road prototype parts. The Dune Patrol boasts a heavily modified custom suspension, featuring unique 10-inch 2.5 Bilstein M 9200 coilovers and a Custom CJD Racing long-travel suspension with up to 16 inches of articulation.

The Dune Patrol is adorned with prototype NISMO parts, including 18-inch bronze AXIS beadlock wheels wrapped in 37-inch Yokohama Geolander MT tires. Exterior upgrades include high-clearance off-road bumpers with integrated skid plates, recovery tow shackles, and Nismo off-road lights. Additional features are rock sliders, A-pillar lights, a custom vehicle wrap, and a low-profile roof rack, complemented by 40-inch front and 30-inch rear LED light bars and custom MOLLE panels.

Although Nissan hasn’t announced any powertrain enhancements, the Dune Patrol retains the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine, producing 425 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, along with a prototype Nismo cat-back exhaust. While the Dune Patrol itself may not be produced, the prototype parts could potentially become available for production, inspiring Armada owners to enhance their vehicles with similar features.
