Up for auction in London with RM Sotheby’s is the 1985 Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.3-16 that belonged to Ayrton Senna, estimated to be worth around $300,000. The Brazilian champion purchased the car after his historic victory at the Nürburgring Race of Champions in 1984, where he surprised the world by defeating Lauda and Prost in an identical 190. Picked up from the factory in Stuttgart and driven to his English residence, the Mercedes is offered today in Smoke Silver with black leather interiors, complete with original documents registered to Senna. With approximately 155,000 driven and Lauda's signature in the engine bay, it is a unique piece of motorsport history.
