Well, we weren’t expecting this. At The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, Lexus surprised attendees by unveiling a new concept car — the Sport Concept. This striking vehicle offers a glimpse into what we've been referring to as the LFR, and its design appears to be a compelling blend of the legendary LFA and the sleek LC500.
While Lexus hasn’t provided any official specs or details just yet, we’re hoping more information will be released soon. For now, what we do know is promising: the car features a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and is powered by a twin-turbo V-8 engine. It’s also expected to use a rear transaxle gearbox, hinting at serious performance potential.
Interestingly, there will also be a Toyota-branded version of this car, although it won’t be sold in the U.S. This platform is also set to underpin Toyota’s upcoming GT3 race car, signaling big ambitions for motorsport and high-performance enthusiasts alike.
