New Mitsubishi Colt 2025: Performance sport… watch out, SEAT Ibiza!
The Mitsubishi Colt amazes us with its sporty Performance version. And it's not just a question of design: there's a surprise under the bonnet.
The Mitsubishi Colt follows the same strategy as its SUV derivative, the Mitsubishi ASX. Both vehicles are almost identical to the Renault Clio and Renault Captur, but are distinguished by specific design details, an exclusive range and a longer warranty (five years). As a result, the Japanese brand has managed to survive in Europe, and can offer us the latest generation of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2025 SUV with 306 PS and all-wheel drive.
Complementing this strategy, another SUV very similar to the Renault Symbioz 2025/2026 will soon make an appearance. There will also be an electric crossover... the 'twin' brother of the Renault Scenic E-TECH.

As you can see, a very aggressive product offensive to carve a niche for itself in the European market. However, the manufacturer does not want to give up its sporty DNA; we only have to think back to such great creations as the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution saga.
In order to achieve a good balance between dynamism and everyday comfort, the company now presents its latest creation: the new Mitsubishi Colt Performance 2025. As you can see in our image gallery, the design is spectacular.
It is distinguished by the body vinyl wrap, which perfectly blend the colours white, red, black and graphite grey. The front apron, side skirts and rear diffuser add to the sportiness, not to mention the roof spoiler, tinted glass and black mirror caps.
The main attraction is the sensational 18-inch OZ Racing Superturismo GT alloy wheels. But all this would be for nothing without a mechanical upgrade... and here's a surprise!
Don't expect a huge amount of power, but do expect an interesting evolution. It starts with the three-cylinder 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine; compared to the 91 PS and 160 Nm of torque of the basic model, it now has 129 PS and 222 Nm. Of course, the six-speed manual gearbox is retained.
At just over a tonne, it's a very desirable 'toy' in the style of the Suzuki Swift Sport. This model has arrived in Europe and rivals the MG3, MINI Cooper, Vauxhall Corsa, Peugeot 208, Seat Ibiza, Skoda Fabia and Volkswagen Polo.
