Audi loads up the Q7 with lots more black and even more toys
But these special editions will set you back some actual cash.
Audi has launched special editions of its Q7 and SQ7 SUVs, featuring the most comprehensive list of standard equipment ever seen on the gigantic seven-seater.
Positioned just above the already available S Line model and starting at £64,405, the diesel-only Black Edition features 21-inch alloy wheels and a black styling pack extending to the radiator grille frame, front bumper styling accents and door mirrors. Inside there are black inlays and premium Valcona leather upholstery.
UK buyers will also be in line for a first with the new Black edition – sporty adaptive air suspension lowers the body by 15mm and continually adjusts the damping over different kinds of terrain.
Joining the Black Edition is the Q7 Vorsprung and SQ7 Vorsprung. These editions add all of the fun stuff from the Black Edition, plus 22-inch Audi Sport design wheels, running boards (excluding SQ7 TDI models) and the aformentioned black styling pack.
Vorsprung edition buyers will also get to ride in extra comfort thanks to ultra-supportive super sport seats in the front with memory functionality and diamond contrast stitching for the Valcona leather upholstery. The extra leather isn't just reserved for the seats, with the door pull handles, armrests and lower door trim, the front centre console trim and the underside of the instrument panel all being adorned in leather too.
The roof is also now lined with soft-touch Alcantara and those in the back can enjoy now make the most of seat heating. Phew.
Vorsprung models also come with an advanced key and the Audi Phone Box which provides wireless charging for all Qi-enabled mobile phones. A head-up display, 3D Bose sound system and Matrix LED headlights also all come as standard fit.
The Q7 Vorsprung is also capable of Level 2 partial autonomy thanks to adaptive cruise control, active lane assist and traffic jam assist, which all work up to speeds of 37mph. There's also parking assist and a 360-degree camera on the tech-laden Vorsprung models. All those toys don't come cheap – The Q7 Vorsprung starts from from £77,905, while the SQ7 TDi will set you back a fair bit more at £88,295.
