Victoria Scott joined Motor1 as a staff writer in 2024. After years of part-time freelance writing, in 2021 she quit her day job at NASA, bought an old Toyota van, and committed to auto writing full-time. She set out into the West, living in her van for months on end, in search of compelling stories about car culture. Since that journey, Victoria has remained busy, and her byline can be found at The Drive, Jalopnik, Road & Track, Insider, and others; she has also published a photography collection with Carrara Books. She is an avid photographer and LGBT community advocate, and enjoys overlanding and hiking. She currently lives in the heart of Seattle with her cat, Burt.
