Cadillac’s V-One is a “concept study” designed to gauge customer interest in experiencing the brand’s LMDh racing program. The vehicle boasts an 830-horsepower hybrid V8 engine, aiming to deliver a sound as menacing as the V-Series.R race car it is based on. It shares several components with the race car, including double-wishbone suspension, pushrod-actuated coil, torsion spring elements, transmission, and some electronics. The concept explores how competition hardware can be adapted into a driver-focused experience, as stated by Dominic Najafi, Cadillac’s executive design director, who describes it as the ultimate manifestation of a customer performance concept.
Co-developed by Cadillac Design, Cadillac Racing, and Dallara, the V-One retains the race car’s design and proportions, featuring an aerodynamics package inspired by the V-Series.R. Cadillac aims to make the V-One easier to operate than the LMDh race car while maintaining a similar performance level. The design includes a new V-Series wheel design and updated dark-persona V-Series badging, with an exterior finished in a hand-sprayed gradient symbolizing the transition from day to night during an endurance race.
Inside, the V-One is equipped with a race-inspired steering wheel featuring a digital interface, referred to as a “concept” by Cadillac. This data visualization display provides driver feedback and coaching as they explore the car’s capabilities. The vehicle also includes a serialized door plaque, exposed carbon, and a customized seat tailored to the driver’s specifications. These elements highlight Cadillac’s ambition for the V-Series brand and its commitment to delivering a high-performance, customer-focused driving experience.
