The JCB Hydromax is a record car about 32 feet long, designed to claim the world land speed record with a hydrogen propulsion system. It uses two 800-hp hydrogen internal combustion engines, for a total output of 1,600 hp, paired with a dual-transmission, dual-clutch system that puts power to all four wheels. The bodywork was developed to ensure maximum aerodynamic efficiency and stability at extreme speeds. After its first tests in the United Kingdom, the Hydromax is aiming to exceed 348 mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats, bringing JCB back into the record challenge after the Dieselmax.
