The 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 introduces a fresh design both inside and out, featuring a simplified lineup of seven trims. It offers two new V8 engines, a 5.7-liter and a 6.6-liter, alongside existing options like the turbocharged 2.7-liter TurboMax inline-four and the 3.0-liter Duramax V6. Chevrolet claims the new Silverado will boast the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 engine, though specific horsepower details remain undisclosed. The truck’s exterior is updated with new LED lights, a revised front fascia, and more pronounced wheel openings, while the interior comes standard with a 12.2-inch driver display and a 16.3-inch infotainment screen.

For off-road enthusiasts, the Silverado offers three trims: Custom Trail Boss, Trail Boss, and ZR2. The Custom Trail Boss starts with a 2.0-inch suspension lift and 34-inch tires, while the Trail Boss adds unique styling and Torch Red-trimmed seatbelts. The ZR2, the top off-road trim, features a 2.0-inch suspension lift, 35-inch tires, E-lockers, and Multimatic DSSV dampers, along with Torch Red accents and forged carbon-fiber trim. The ZR2 Bison, a collaboration with AEV, includes distinct bumpers, rocker protection, and skid plates.

The rest of the 2027 Silverado lineup includes the High Country trim, which offers 22-inch wheels, a new Tritan Satin grille, and the truck’s first panoramic sunroof. It also features Chevy’s Multi-Flex center console and available microfiber suede trim. The Silverado LT trim, along with the Work Truck Custom and Custom Trail Boss, comes standard with a bench seat, with front buckets available. The Silverado Custom includes 20-inch wheels and dual exhaust. Pricing and powertrain specifications are yet to be announced, but the 2027 Silverado is expected to go on sale at the end of the year, with bed configurations remaining the same as the outgoing model.
