Ford has introduced a new iteration of the Mustang GTD Spirit of America to commemorate America’s 250th birthday. This special edition is an appearance package that maintains the Performance White body color, now featuring an asymmetrical livery that reinterprets the iconic Mustang tri-bar. The design includes red-painted spoiler plates and side mirrors, with “Mustang” prominently displayed in large white letters on the spoiler’s backside, reminiscent of the original Spirit of America.
The interior of the Mustang GTD Spirit of America 2.0 remains largely unchanged from its predecessor, with 3D-printed titanium accents still present. The car retains its supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine, delivering 815 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 202 miles per hour. The GTD Performance Pack is included, enhancing the vehicle’s aerodynamics and weight with features like dive planes, a larger splitter, and underbody flaps.
Interested buyers can apply for the Mustang GTD Spirit of America 2.0 through an online application, which will close on May 18, 2026, at 11:59 pm ET. This limited edition continues to celebrate American heritage while offering a distinctive appearance and performance enhancements.
