How will car cabins change in the coming years? One possible answer comes from Renault with the R-Space Lab prototype, a laboratory on wheels developed to study new solutions for the in-car experience. The project was born within Futurama, the Renault Group’s research center, and it does not preview a production model but shows the direction the brand’s future vehicle interiors could take.
The concept focuses on a bright, modular cabin measuring 4.5 meters, with three individual rear seats and flexible configurations for passengers or luggage. The dashboard is dominated by a large openR panoramic screen, while artificial intelligence systems and new safety devices test a more intuitive and assisted way of driving.
