BMW is set to conclude the production of the Z4 roadster with a highly exclusive Final Edition based on the Z4 M40i. This limited edition offers customers a choice between an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. The manual version comes with the Edition Handschalter Package, which enhances the driving experience with unique software mapping for the rear dampers, steering, traction control, and M Sport differential.
The Z4 Final Edition is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine, delivering 382 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, consistent with other M40i models. It features staggered 19-inch front and 20-inch rear Dual-Spoke Bicolor 800M wheels. Externally, the car is uniformly finished in BMW Individual Frozen Black metallic paint, complemented by the Shadowline Package, which includes gloss-black trim on various elements. Additional distinctive features are the Moonlight Black soft top and red brake calipers.
Inside, the Z4 Final Edition boasts red contrast stitching on various surfaces, including the instrument panel, center console, and M Sport seats, which are upholstered in black Vernasca leather and Alcantara. Unique door sill plates also highlight the special edition status. Standard features include the Driver Assistance Package, a Harmon Kardon sound system, and the Premium Package, which offers ambient lighting and a head-up display. Production of the Z4 Final Edition is scheduled from February to April next year in very limited numbers, with each unit priced at $78,675, including a $1,175 destination charge.
