Ford has unveiled the Mustang GTD Liquid Carbon, a more extreme version of its most radical Mustang yet. This variant skips paint entirely, showcasing a fully exposed carbon-fiber body with a flawless, cohesive weave pattern running from the hood to the rear. The use of bonded carbon-fiber doors and the lack of paint make it about 13 pounds lighter than the GTD Carbon Series with the Performance package.
The Liquid Carbon comes standard with the GTD’s Performance package, which includes 20-inch magnesium wheels, extra aerodynamic elements, and reduced sound deadening. Power comes from Ford’s supercharged 5.2-liter V-8, producing 815 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, paired with a semi-active rear inboard pushrod suspension.
One of its standout visual highlights is the precise carbon weave alignment. The look is designed not only for aesthetics but also to underscore the engineering precision behind the GTD Liquid Carbon.
Inside, the cabin features black leather and Dinamica suede, accented with Hyper Lime stitching on seats, doors, and the steering wheel. The interior maintains the performance-oriented nature of the GTD while adding a distinct visual pop through the contrast stitching.
Deliveries are set to begin in October, with pricing expected to exceed the GTD’s $327,000 starting price. With its lighter weight, enhanced aero, and rare exposed carbon-fiber finish, the Liquid Carbon is aimed at collectors and enthusiasts seeking the most exclusive and track-capable Mustang yet.
