As the BMW 8 Series approaches the end of its production run, the brand is celebrating its legacy with a stunning, retro-inspired sendoff. Introducing the Edition M Heritage, a limited-edition model that pays tribute to the iconic E31-generation 8 Series of the 1990s.
Limited to just 500 units worldwide, the Edition M Heritage is based on the M850i xDrive Gran Coupe and proudly honors its predecessor with a selection of bold, period-correct paint finishes: Bright Red, Mauritius Blue, Cosmos Black, Oxford Green, and the fan-favorite Daytona Violet.
But this model is more than just a nod to the past—it’s packed with exclusive enhancements. Every Edition M Heritage comes equipped with a carbon fiber roof featuring distinctive M tri-color stripes, 20-inch alloy wheels, and the M Sport Professional Package as standard. That means upgraded brakes, black calipers, and additional blacked-out exterior trim.
Inside, the attention to detail continues. The cabin features M Sport seats upholstered in black Merino leather and Alcantara, finished in a classic diamond stitch pattern. Alcantara also wraps the headliner, dashboard, and door panels, while matte carbon fiber trim adds a modern edge. Unique tri-color M stitching, special "M850i Edition M Heritage" badging, and “1/500” branding on the cupholder cover and doorsills complete the exclusive interior.
The Edition M Heritage isn’t just a grand tourer—it's a collector’s statement, marking the end of an era with style, substance, and unmistakable BMW heritage.
