If you’re an early-2000s tuner kid, the name Acura RSX probably brings back memories of sleek two-door coupes, high-revving engines, and endless mods. But Acura just flipped the script at Monterey Car Week 2025—and the RSX is officially entering the electric era.
And no, it’s not a coupe. It's a fully electric AWD crossover SUV.
This isn’t a retro revival—it’s a bold reinvention. The RSX Prototype previews Acura’s first EV built on Honda’s all-new, in-house EV platform. This move marks a shift away from GM's Ultium tech (used in the ZDX), and signals Honda’s full commitment to owning its electric future.
The design? It's aggressive, athletic, and unmistakably Acura.
Acura isn’t just changing what powers the RSX—it’s changing how the car thinks. The RSX will debut ASIMO OS, a new vehicle software system that learns your preferences, adapts over time, and seamlessly integrates infotainment, driver assistance, and even personalization features. Over-the-air updates will keep things fresh and future-ready.
Oh, and it's also bidirectional—meaning it can power your gear, or even your home, in a blackout.
The production version of the RSX is expected to launch in the second half of 2026, built at Honda’s new EV Hub in Marysville, Ohio—alongside the Acura Integra. This isn’t just a concept car. It’s coming. And fast.
