Lunaz electrifies Sophia Loren's Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II

The UK-based automotive engineering team at Lunaz has outdone itself with its latest project, converting a 1960 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II, previously owned by Oscar-winning actress Sophia Loren into a fully electric masterpiece.

This conversion isn't just about electrification; it's a modernisation that touches every characteristic of the car, from its bespoke two-tone Shale and Rich Gold exterior to its Sage leather and burr walnut wood interior. The carpets are even made from reclaimed nylon fishing nets and recycled ocean plastics.

Lunaz's expertise doesn't end at classic Rolls-Royces as the firm electrified a range of icons that include Aston Martins, Bentleys, Jaguars, and Range Rovers. Their proprietary electric powertrain replaces the original petrol-powered engines, amplifying the near-silent running in these vintage beauties. All this magic happens in Lunaz's state-of-the-art facility at Silverstone, UK.

What about passenger comfort? Lunaz thought of that too. The rear seats come heated with USB/USB-C charging points and are compatible with Android and Apple CarPlay. Even the driver gets modern amenities like a full-colour six-inch dashboard display, parking cameras, cruise control, and an electronic parking brake.

But the excitement doesn't stop with Sophia Loren’s revamped Rolls-Royce. Lunaz has also unveiled its Hotel Programme. Hoteliers globally are commissioning Lunaz to create luxurious 'house cars' for transporting guests. These bespoke vehicles, complete with custom branding and even preferred scents, will operate in Europe, the Middle East, the United States, and Southeast Asia. As part of the package, chauffeurs get specialised training to provide a seamless and secure guest experience. Starting at £550,000, these electrified classics are setting a new standard for luxury and sustainability.
