It Has 198 pounds More Downforce Than The Chiron
The advanced aerodynamic package on the Divo not only looks good, but it yields an extra 198 pounds (89 kilograms) of downforce over the Chiron. All told, the Divo has 1,005 pounds of downforce. But even with all that added aero work, the Divo is still 77 pounds (34 kilograms) lighter than the supercar on which it’s based interestingly enough. Bugatti hasn’t released an official curb weight, but it should tip the scales at around 4,280 pounds (1,941 kilograms).
It Can Pull 1.6 Lateral Gs
More downforce means more lateral Gs. In this case, the Divo has 1.6 Gs of lateral grip – which is a lot of Gs. That number is only a slight increase over the standard Chiron, though, which can pull up to 1.5 Gs. That extra 0.1, though, makes a heluva difference; the Divo is a whole eight seconds quicker around the Nardo circuit than the Chiron.
Its Top Speed Is Limited To 236 MPH
That number actually makes it slower on the top end then the Chiron, which can hit 261 miles per hour (420 kilometers per hour). Part of the reason is the added aerodynamics we mentioned earlier; with nearly 200 extra pounds (90 kilograms) of downforce, the Divo isn’t able to outgun the Chiron. But there is good news for speed freaks: the Divo is 0.1 seconds quicker than the Chiron to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour). It will do it in just 2.4 seconds.
It Costs $5.8 Million
At $5.8 million (€5 million), the Bugatti Divo is one of the most expensive vehicles on the market today. It’s a whopping $2.78 million pricier than the Chiron, and $4.08 million more expensive than the Veyron Super Sport. Other than performance, its limited quantity probably has something to do with its outrageous price.
