GMC has unveiled the 2027 Sierra 1500, a completely redesigned pickup truck set to go on sale later this year. The new Sierra will feature two new V8 engine options, a 5.7-liter and a 6.6-liter, alongside the existing TurboMax four-cylinder and Duramax diesel V6. Each engine will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The truck’s design draws inspiration from the Sierra EV, with a more vertical grille and unique front-end treatments for each trim. Inside, the Sierra offers up to three screens on the dashboard, including a 16.3-inch digital infotainment display that moves to reveal a storage cubby, and an 11.5-inch front passenger screen with an articulating cover.

The 2027 Sierra will be available in four trims: Pro, Elevation, AT4, and Denali. The AT4X trim will feature 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, Multimatic jounce control dampers, and e-locking differentials front and rear. It will also have an exclusive hood, a 2.9-inch suspension lift, a unique grille insert, and a rugged front bumper. Inside, the AT4X will include unique trim accents, enhanced front seat bolsters, and a flat-bottom steering wheel, with standard features like a panoramic sunroom and stainless-steel speaker grilles on the doors.

At the top of the lineup is the Sierra Denali Ultimate, featuring the 6.6-liter V8 engine and more than 60 inches of in-cabin screens, including a 12.2-inch driver display and a 15.0-inch head-up display. It will also come with a 16-speaker Bose Premium Series audio system and a three-year subscription to Super Cruise. The Denali Ultimate will feature forged wood accents and is positioned as the flagship truck. Pricing for the 2027 Sierra 1500 will be released later this year, with expectations that prices will increase from the 2026 model, which starts at $41,095.
