The 2027 Subaru Getaway is set to debut in late 2026, featuring a dual electric motor setup with 420 horsepower, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 5.0 seconds. It boasts a 3,500-pound tow rating and 8.3 inches of ground clearance. The long-range model will be available first, equipped with a 95.8-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery and 150-kilowatt charging capability, enabling a recharge from 10 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. It also includes access to Tesla’s Supercharger network through the North American Charging Standard. A standard-range model is expected to launch in the first half of 2027, featuring a 77.0-kWh battery.

The Subaru Getaway shares its design and platform with the Toyota Highlander EV, as both were developed in collaboration between Subaru and Toyota. However, Subaru distinguishes its vehicle with unique design elements such as an illuminated logo on the front and back, and standard roof rails. The Getaway offers 19- or 20-inch wheels depending on the trim. Inside, the design mirrors that of the Highlander EV, with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.0-inch infotainment display, and features like wireless 15-watt charging, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.

The Getaway is designed to accommodate up to seven passengers, offering heated seats as standard, with options for second- and third-row heated seats, ventilated front- and second-row seats, and a heated steering wheel on certain trims. It includes three-zone climate control, third-row vents, and USB-C chargers in every row. While pricing details have not been finalized, the Subaru Getaway is anticipated to start in the mid- to upper-$40,000 range, with more information expected closer to its release date.
