In 2026, Automobili Lamborghini celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Lamborghini Miura, a model that in 1966 ushered in the era of the modern supercar with a mid-mounted, transverse V12 engine. Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, the Miura breaks with the tradition of front-engine GT cars and introduces a motorsport-inspired architecture. Bertone’s design, penned by Marcello Gandini, defines a timeless aesthetic. With outputs up to 385 hp and over 290 km/h in the P400 SV version, it becomes the fastest production car of its time. Produced in 763 units, it conquers cinema and pop culture and establishes Lamborghini’s DNA, still evident today in the Sant’Agata Bolognese marque’s V12 models.
