The electric Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé is set to launch in 2026. The manufacturer has now released the first images of the cockpit. With the touchscreen tilted toward the driver’s seat, the interior is decidedly driver-focused. Special features include rotary knobs on the center console. This controls throttle response, traction, and cornering behavior.
Otherwise, there is a sport steering wheel flattened at the bottom, with paddles for adjusting regenerative braking as well as buttons for damper settings and drive mode, which display the selected mode in an integrated display. On the dashboard there is a 10.2-inch instrument display, a 14-inch touchscreen tilted toward the driver’s seat, and an optional front passenger display of the same size.
In the rear, there are two individual seats as standard, with an optional three-seat bench. With recesses in the floor, Mercedes picks up on the concept of foot garages. A heat-insulating glass roof comes as standard, with an optional Sky Control roof with individually switchable segments. At night, it shows AMG logos. There is also sophisticated ambient lighting.
The instrument display provides an initial clue about the technology, showing 509 km of remaining range at a charge level of 81 percent. The technical basis of the newcomer is the 800-volt AMG.EA platform with axial-flux motors. For the first time at Mercedes, the battery is based on cylindrical cells that sit directly in a non-conductive cooling fluid. Storage capacity is said to be 114 kWh, and it can reportedly be charged at up to 850 kW. You can find all the details on the electric AMG GT 4-Door in our in-depth article.
