Since 1906, Itala developed powerful racing cars inspired by Mercedes but featuring its own unique solutions, with enormous engines over 15 liters and extremely robust construction. The 1907 models, with 120 HP, achieved significant victories and established the brand in competitions. By 1908, they moved to more conventional designs, making the 1907 Itala models the pinnacle of the "brutes" that had built their reputation.
In the photos, there's a 1907 120 HP sold at auction by RM Sotheby's in February 2025, fetching the equivalent of 1.1 million euros.
