Mazda has revamped the ND Miata to shed its “soft” image by introducing a new front bumper from Scud Power. This bumper, crafted from fiber-reinforced plastic, resembles the NB Miata’s design, featuring a smaller, vintage-inspired front end. The changes include a rounder, smaller grille and softer furrows around the headlights, giving the car a more subtle appearance.

The new bumper is priced at 95,000 YEN, approximately $607, but additional costs for shipping and painting apply, especially for buyers in the United States. This customization option allows owners to personalize their ND Miata before the anticipated release of the next-generation model.

Mazda is already discussing the successor to the ND Miata, which will feature a larger 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine while maintaining its compact size. The current model measures 154.1 inches long, and the new version will be slightly longer, under 157 inches. Despite these changes, the Miata’s history suggests it will continue to offer diverse personalities.
