Ford is expanding its seventh-generation Mustang lineup with the introduction of the 2026 Mustang EcoBoost RTR Package, aimed at cost-conscious enthusiasts. This package enhances the Mustang’s drift capabilities by incorporating Brembo brakes from the GT Performance Package, along with the Dark Horse’s rear subframe and sway bars for increased stiffness. Additionally, it features an optimized steering gear, unique stability control tunes, and available MagneRide dampers to improve performance while drifting.
The RTR Package includes standard features such as the Mustang’s Electronic Drift Brake and Active-Valve Performance Exhaust with quad tips. Although the turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine remains unchanged, producing 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, the package introduces RTR’s anti-lag system, inspired by GT race car technology. Visually, the package offers RTR’s illuminated nostrils, grille, GT’s front fascia, and a GT Performance Pack rear spoiler, complemented by RTR badging and Tarnished Dark Anodized accents.
Ford also provides a Hyper Lime Exterior Package, which swaps the black Brembo brake calipers for Hyper Lime ones and adds matching accents to the graphics. Inside, the Hyper Lime theme is reflected in contrast stitching on various surfaces, with RTR-specific graphics displayed upon opening the door or starting the engine. While the pricing for the RTR Package is yet to be announced, it will be available on the EcoBoost Mustang Fastback with the High Package and the EcoBoost Premium Fastback, starting at $36,510 and $38,340, respectively, for 2026, with deliveries expected next summer.
