The 2026 Toyota Wildlander is the Chinese-market sibling of the new-generation RAV4, built on Toyota’s TNGA-K platform and sold through GAC-Toyota. While it shares much with the global RAV4, the Wildlander features a more urban-friendly design, with a sleeker honeycomb grille, subtle bumper styling, and 18- to 20-inch alloy wheels. Its dimensions are nearly identical to the RAV4, offering solid space and practicality for families and daily use.
Under the hood, the Wildlander offers more powertrain variety than its global counterpart, including a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and two hybrid setups (2.0L and 2.5L), both available with front-wheel drive or Toyota’s E-Four AWD system. Unlike some international models, there’s currently no plug-in hybrid version. Fuel economy is a highlight, especially for the hybrids, with some models offering as low as 4.59 L/100 km in combined driving.
Inside, the 2026 Wildlander gets upgraded tech and materials, including a digital cockpit layout, a larger infotainment screen, and enhanced driver-assistance features. It aims to deliver a refined, comfortable driving experience tailored to Chinese consumers, who increasingly demand premium features alongside fuel efficiency. The Wildlander continues to compete directly with the FAW-Toyota RAV4, offering nearly identical specs with slightly different styling and branding.
