Gordon Murray’s T50 supercar is set to unveil its next iteration, the track-only T50s Niki Lauda, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This special edition pays homage to Murray’s first Formula 1 victory at the 1974 South African Grand Prix, featuring a white body with a South African flag-inspired livery. The car will be demonstrated by Murray himself as he drives it up the iconic hill at the event.

The T50s Niki Lauda is powered by a 3.9-liter Cosworth V12 engine, delivering 761 horsepower at 11,500 rpm. It is an evolution of the road-going T50, equipped with a six-speed gearbox and paddle shifters. The car boasts a unique seating arrangement with the driver in the center and adjustable aerodynamics that generate up to 2,645 pounds of downforce. With only 25 units being produced, each priced at $3 million, all have already been reserved.

In addition to the T50s, Gordon Murray will present three other vehicles at Goodwood. These include the European reveal of the S1 LM design model, the Le Mans GTR XP1 prototype race car, and the T.33 Spider validation prototype, VP12. Murray, the company’s executive chairman, mentioned that production of the T.50s is underway, while the T.33 and T.33 Spider are in advanced development stages. The company is also working on a specialized range of vehicles to push the boundaries of their design and engineering philosophy.
