An Italian road-legal car with a single central driving seat really does exist. It’s the Dallara Monoposto Stradale, a very rare model that has appeared in a few images and is set to be sold at auction by RM Sotheby’s with an estimate above €700,000. The example, listed as a 2024 model, will be offered during an auction in Monaco on April 25.
The car looks profoundly different from the well-known two-seat Dallara Stradale: it features a single central seat protected by a small windshield and surrounded by a carbon-fiber body. The front end has also been redesigned with larger air intakes and new headlights, while the rear shows a strong focus on aerodynamics with an extended tail, rear wing, and large diffuser.
The cabin is minimalist and focused on sporty driving: there’s room only for the seat and steering wheel, with a digital instrument cluster and an automatic transmission with steering-wheel paddles.
