Ariel Motor Company, a British manufacturer specializing in ultralight sports cars, has unveiled the new Atom 4RR, the most powerful and radical version of the model ever built.
Developed to celebrate 25 years of the Atom, this sports car is designed primarily for track use but remains street-legal. The engine is a Honda-derived 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, extensively modified and hand-assembled, producing 525 hp.
The Atom 4RR offers a power-to-weight ratio of over 780 hp per ton and accelerates from 0 to 62 miles per hour in about 2.4 seconds. The car features a reinforced chassis, adjustable suspension, and racing brakes.
Each example is built to order in the United Kingdom, with a starting price of around €240,000, or nearly $300,000, before taxes.
