Porsche 911 Carrera S revealed with 480 PS and new equipment
The new Carrera S has 30 PS more, even more comprehensive standard equipment and new interior features. From £119,800
Porsche renews the 911 Carrera S with an even greater focus on power and style. The variant placed between the Carrera and the GTS T-Hybrid receives an updated engine, extended equipment and a design reminiscent of the previous generation Turbo models.
Coupé and Cabriolet versions can already be ordered in the UK with prices starting at £119,800 for the former and £129,800 for the latter.
New life for the boxer engine
The heart of the new 911 Carrera S remains the classic 3-litre twin-turbocharged six-cylinder boxer engine mated to the 8-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission, which now delivers 480 PS and 530 Nm of torque. Thanks to new turbochargers and an optimised cooling system, the engine delivers an increase in power of 30 PS over the previous model, with 0-62 mph acceleration of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 191 mph.

There are several additions to the standard equipment, starting with new 20-inch alloy wheels at the front and 21-inch at the rear and a sports exhaust system with silver tailpipes. In addition, there is the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) system which allows for greater agility and responsiveness when cornering. The standard braking system is derived from the 911 Carrera GTS and uses 408 mm front discs and 380 mm rear discs with red callipers.

Those wishing to further enrich the equipment can request carboceramic brakes, PASM sports suspension to reduce ground clearance by 10 mm and steered rear wheels.
From grand tourer to track supercar
The interior of the 911 Carrera S retains its now typical look, with leather upholstery for the seats, dashboard and door panels. As with other Carrera models, folding rear seats are available at no extra charge as an alternative to the standard two-seat configuration.
Black leather interior as standard, other colours optional
And if the standard equipment is not enough, Porsche also offers leather upholstery for the glove compartment door and door trim panels. In addition, there are LED headlights with Matrix HD technology, the front axle lift system and the Sport Chrono Package, to keep track of your times during track days.
