Honda's tribute to Ayrton Senna is brilliant [video]

Honda is paying a tribute to F1 legend Ayrton Senna with possibly one of the best clips ever released by a car company.

Earlier this month we saw the interesting “Hands” video from Honda to celebrate the firm's 65 years of innovations. Now, they have released "Sound of Honda – Ayrton Senna 1989" which pays tribute to perhaps the best Formula 1 driver ever.

For creating this video they used telemetry data and audio samples from 1989 and then installed several speakers and lights to create Ayrton Senna's "ghost" on the Suzuka racetrack in Japan.

For Honda he was more than just a Formula 1 driver as he was involved directly in the NSX development. A successor to the supercar will come out in 2015 wearing the Acura badge and featuring a mid-mounted V6 engine linked to a Sport Hybrid Super Handling All Wheel Drive system. It will have two electric motors powering the front axle, along with a third motor built into the dual-clutch gearbox. Unfortunately, this time Senna won't be able to provide his input.
