- Larte Design gives the BMW X7 a much more aggressive look with an extensive carbon-fiber body kit.
- The upgrade adds bespoke aerodynamic elements while retaining the X7's original body structure and functionality.
- The high-end treatment focuses heavily on visual drama and exclusivity rather than increasing engine performance.
The BMW X7 is about 17 feet long, nearly 6.6 feet wide, and its facelift has worn a front end that is hard to miss. Larte Design apparently still saw room for more. Or perhaps restraint simply wasn’t on the calendar. The result wears plenty of carbon fiber and can even be finished in green or purple.
Meanwhile, the current X7 G07 is slowly approaching the end of its run. BMW CEO Oliver Zipse confirmed in March 2026 that the next generation will enter production in 2027 at BMW’s Spartanburg plant in the US. Larte, however, sees no reason to let the current X7 roll quietly toward retirement.

Ten Pieces To Turn Up The Visual Drama
The program includes 10 components. Larte fits a new grille surround, additional elements for the front fascia, a splitter, mirror caps, and side skirt add-ons. At the rear, there are new bumper elements, a roof spoiler, and a carbon-fiber diffuser.
The most eye-catching individual piece, however, sits right up front. The hood is made entirely from dry carbon fiber and replaces the factory part. It gets a much more sculpted shape along with additional vents. Anyone who felt an X7 urgently needed another focal point above its already massive kidney grille may feel justified here.

At least the conversion does not require major body modifications. According to Larte, all components use the existing mounting points. Parking sensors, cameras, and the standard driver-assistance systems are also said to remain fully functional.
Green Meets Green, Purple Meets White
Larte could have left the carbon fiber black, but of course it had other plans. The two X7s shown here wear tinted dry carbon, with the color introduced into the material during production. On the green vehicle, the tuner combines olive-colored carbon fiber with a similarly painted body.
The result looks surprisingly cohesive. Subtle, however, the X7 is not. The many add-on parts take care of that, as do the optional 23-inch forged wheels. Still, it does not take long to realize this is not a stock SUV.

On the white X7, the effect is even more obvious. Purple carbon fiber deliberately contrasts with the pearl-white paint and highlights nearly every new component. Traditional black carbon fiber remains available as well.
From xDrive40i To M60i
Larte does not make any technical changes. According to the company, the package fits all BMW X7 G07 models from 2022 to 2026, both in Luxury trim and with the M Sport package. That means applications range from the xDrive40i with its 3.0-liter inline-six to the M60i with its 4.4-liter V8.

Larte explicitly positions the conversion as independent of the model cycle. That could be relevant for the X7, given that its successor is getting closer. Anyone who still wants to keep their G07 while making sure nobody mistakes it for an older stock model now has a fairly unmistakable option.

And if the next X7 proves controversial again, this example has at least one advantage: when people see it, they probably will not start by discussing the factory design.
Motor1's take: Larte Design has turned the already imposing BMW X7 into an even more attention-grabbing luxury SUV. The carbon-fiber upgrades add plenty of visual aggression, but the lack of mechanical changes means this is primarily a style-focused transformation for buyers who want their X7 to stand out.
