This One-Off Porsche 911 GT3 RS Has $220,000 in Options
This is the last example to arrive in Brazil before the 992's refresh. It took two years to produce.
Owning a Porsche holds an air of exclusivity. But if you want something truly special, the German brand offers something extra: Sonderwunsch, a very limited customization program that, in Brazil, has only been offered four times on the GT3 RS. The most recent one is very special.
This Porsche 911 GT3 RS has some unique features that make it a highly valuable collector's item. It's the last 992-generation RS to arrive in Brazil before its restyling, which hasn't yet been shown to the public. Additionally, R$1.3 million (around $220,000) has been invested in customization alone, in addition to the car's price tag in Brazil, which is around R$2 million ($339,000).
Sonderwunsch means special order in German. If the brand's current offerings don't please the buyer, they travel to Germany to customize their car with unique materials, colors and details. There are limited spaces available, with around 600 allocations per year worldwide. Only 12 Chromaflair-painted cars are allocated per year, as the process is entirely manual. This can also be done with used cars (8 units per year) and even more extreme and complex cars, with three per year.
In the case of this GT3 RS, it took two years from its configuration to its arrival in Brazil. Explosive Gold is one of the Chromaflair colors that, depending on the incidence of light, takes on different shades. Even details such as the DRS actuators were painted, which required resistance tests. There is a lot of carbon fiber and, curiously, where it could be damaged by track use, there is no paint. Inside, Race-Tex and stitching matches the car on everything, including the Weissach package embroidering.
The car comes with a special box containing a miniature sample of the car's color, a combination of fabrics and stitching in the interior, and a signed certificate and a full description of the car's equipment and accessories. Even the key has been color-matched.
This special 911 GT3 RS is part of one of the most exclusive Porsche collections in the country. Stuttgart Porsche in Brazil is the only dealership in the country with the Exclusive Manufaktur Partner seal, which allows this type of customization of cars sold at various levels. In addition to this GT3 RS, there are two 911 Turbo S and a 718 GT4 RS models configured by their owners in this exclusive program.
