The C8 Corvette's Updated Interior Looks So Much Better
Our spy photographer caught the revamped C8 interior up close, revealing an entirely new design for the controversial button wall.
Chevrolet has finally redesigned the Corvette's interior. Pictures taken by our spy photographer reveals a revamped center console and a new screen to the left of the digital instrument cluster. Most importantly, the controversial "button wall" is gone, replaced by a simple grab handle.
The long row of buttons found on the C8's center console housed many of the climate controls. Many of those buttons have been moved to a new row of switches found just underneath the infotainment screen. The selector buttons for the transmission remain unchanged, though the rotary dial for changing drive modes is conveniently obscured.
The C8's famously squared-off, two-spoke steering wheel seems to have survived the update, with a similar button setup for the driver. The flip-up cover for the cupholder section has been deleted in favor of two separate, always-open cup holders. And the center vent, previously touching the bottom of the infotainment screen, has now been separated by a strip of leather dashboard.
The only other big change is the addition of a small left-side screen for the driver, a feature made popular by other models in GM's portfolio. Here, it's showing things like engine oil temperature, coolant temperature, and transmission oil temperature—all stuff you'd want to see if you're pushing the car on a race track. We'd say it's a useful add-on.
Production of the 2026 Chevy Corvette is set to start in early August, according to GM Authority. We expect the company to detail all of the upgrades before then, including the interior overhaul. So it won't be long until we hear about any other changes made to the C8.
