2026 Volvo XC60: This Is It

The XC60 is one of the brand's best-selling models, despite its age. So it's getting a refresh.

The second-generation Volvo XC60 isn't getting any younger, but that hasn't been discouraging buyers. The crossover, first introduced for the 2018 model year in the United States, continues to be one of the brand's best-selling models here, nearly outselling the XC90 in 2024. Despite its age, Volvo isn't rushing to introduce a completely revamped model. Instead, it's refreshing the crossover for 2026.

The updates are minor. The XC60 now borrows styling cues from the updated XC90 introduced last September. It has a revamped grille, darker taillights, and new wheel options. The XC60 will introduce two new colors— Forest Lake and Aurora Silver—and come available with Mulberry Red for the first time.

Inside, the Volvo has a larger 11.2-inch infotainment screen that protrudes above the dash. It has the brand's latest software, serviceable via over-the-air updates, and upgraded hardware. Volvo claims the new infotainment system is twice as fast as the outgoing one thanks to Qualcomm's next-generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. The automaker also tweaked the mesh grille design for the speakers.

Volvo doesn't mention any powertrain upgrades for the refreshed XC60. The automaker sells the crossover in the US with a 247-horsepower mild-hybrid system or a 455-hp plug-in hybrid model. The current Volvo XC60 costs $48,345 to start, so we expect the revised version should go on sale at a similar price. Expect it to hit dealers later this year.
