First images of the Jaguar Type 01 cockpit: The electrically powered grand tourer gets a rather understated interior, with styling and colors reminiscent of the 1960s. The natural colors are inspired by travertine, a yellowish to brownish type of limestone. In front of the driver’s seat, there is apparently a slightly curved monitor, while a large central touchscreen is absent. Instead, Jaguar uses only a small display for the climate controls as well as a screen for the images from the rear-facing camera.
Also characteristic is the high center console, which runs through the entire cabin and is intended to divide it into four separate areas. The car is a four-seater. In some places, Jaguar uses brass details that feature the "Leaper," the leaping Jaguar.
The car will be presented in New York on October 6. Unofficially, it is already known that the car is 17.1 feet long but only 4.6 feet tall. Three electric motors provide propulsion, drawing their power from a 120-kWh battery. Prices are expected to start at around 140,000 euros.
