The 1979 Ferrari 308 GTS is already a classic, but this particular car stands out because it was used in the pilot episode of the TV series Magnum, P.I. starring Tom Selleck. It’s now being auctioned by Barrett-Jackson with documentation confirming its role in the show, including modifications made to fit Selleck’s height.

Under the hood, the car features a 2.9-liter V8 engine producing 230 horsepower, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. It also includes performance features like a limited-slip differential and four-wheel disc brakes, combining classic Ferrari engineering with solid driving capability.

Visually, it sports the iconic red exterior with a cream interior, along with features like air conditioning, power windows, pop-up headlights, and a removable roof. The car will be sold without reserve, and similar models from the show have recently fetched over $100,000, making this a highly collectible piece of television and automotive history.
